Her er vinderen af den danske National Awards til Sony World Photography Awards 2021

World Photography Organisation og Sony kan nu afsløre, at Sussi Charlotte Alminde vinder den danske National Award til Sony World Photography Awards 2021.

National Awards-konkurrencen er et initiativ skabt af World Photography Organisation og Sony til støtte for lokale fotofællesskaber på tværs af kloden. I år har 53 lande været repræsenteret i konkurrencen.

Mere end 330.000 billeder er blevet indsendt til Sony World Photography Awards 2021, og flere end 165.000 billeder blev tilmeldt Open-konkurrencen, hvorfra vinderne af National Awards udvælges.

Sussi Charlotte Alminde blev udvalgt af dommerne for hendes billede “The Dance”, som er nomineret i portræt-kategorien i Open-konkurrencen.

Om fotografen

Sussi Charlotte Alminde er en fotograf fra Vejle, Danmark. Da hun fødte sin datter i 2007, opdagede hun glæden ved fotografering og det at skabe smukke billeder. Hun fandt ofte ro ved at gå i naturen. Der kunne hun tage tingene i sit eget tempo og kigge efter smukke kompositioner, farver og fine detaljer. Derefter begyndte hun at lave portrætter i naturen og kombinerede dermed de to ting, hun elsker allermest. Sussi Charlotte Alminde har udstillet sine fotografier i både Danmark og udlandet.

Om førstepladsen udtaler Alminde: “Jeg blev meget lykkelig, da jeg modtog e-mailen fra SWPA om, at jeg havde vundet førstepladsen. Jeg elsker at deltage i Sonys fotokonkurrence. Jeg har lært meget af det. Jeg bruger det som en slags dagbog. Jeg har rundt regnet brugt en halv time hver dag i to måneder på at uploade mine yndlingsbilleder fra 2020. I 2017 vandt jeg andenpladsen, men 2021 viste sig at blive endnu bedre!

Som den danske vinder af National Award-konkurrencen har Sussi Charlotte Alminde vundet fotoudstyr fra Sony.

The Sony World Photography Awards 2021 competitions include:

  • Professional competition - Judged anonymously on a body of work. 10 categories to enter, including a newly introduced ‘Environment’ category.
  • Open competition - Judged anonymously on a single image. 10 categories to enter.
  • Youth competition - Judged anonymously on a single image responding to monthly themes, for photographers aged 12-19.
  • Student competition - For academic institutions, a body of work responding to one brief on the theme ofInvisible Lines’. Shortlisted photographers then submit a series of images responding to a second brief.
  • National Awards - All images entered into the Open competition are automatically considered for the National & Regional Awards programme which celebrates local photographic talent in more than 50 countries and is judged anonymously upon a single image.
